Dither Fish W/ Flowerhorn?

What about a group of Buenos Aires Tetras. I put a group of 7 in with my FH x Hoga hybrid about 6 weeks ago and so far so good, no loses. They move in a group and their quick, plus they have a good mini monster look about them.

Well I feed my FH feeders so I guess he might not even think twice. I could try congo tetras possibly..., or even bucktooth tetras and just hope they can get away...
Maybe if I feed him before I add the others it might possibly work. But for my FH its a hit or miss lol.

My flowerhorn is only 3 inches and has taken the 55 completely for himself. i tried 8 giant danios that didn't work i just took the pleco out he was killing him. He killled a texas. He is a social butterfly for people but in the tank nightmare for tank mates. Originally it was him a GT a Firemouth and a texas. Now only him ..... GL

My personal experience has been Mbuna. They work great with my Flowerhorn. Really quick, intelligent, a little too big to be eaten easily (flowerhorn could never catch them anyway) and they are tough enough to live with them. Just provide a hiding spot or two, depending on how many you have. And make sure they are the tougher Mbuna. I have Kenyiis with mine. Not only do that add tons of movement, they have the beautiful blue and yellow coloration. Just MHO.

If you use feeders, which you shouldn't unless you're breeding them yourself, then it's a no-brainer. Don't put any small specie in the tank, your fh will kill them. Put big cichlids, that are equally aggressive and bigger. Overstocked tanks tend to disperse aggression.

I also have tried giant danios, Australian rainbows, green terrors, - all eaten. I am leaning towards silver dollars or tinfoil barbs.
