Actually, I could have built a 8x4 for the same price. I just did not have the room. So the sheets had to be cut down and I lost out on the excess acrylic. I lost out on a little bit of money as well because each cut costs.

could you still use 1/2" acrylic for 8x4?

Some say yes, some say no...I personally would do it in a heartbeat as long as you dont go over 24" in height.

its crazy, I made this exact tank back about 8 years ago.. it was nostalgic looking at your building pictures.
