DIY OVERFLOW HELP

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Is my placement correct though? I expanded to 2 inch piping at the tee so it would not have that gurgling sound. My silicon is almost drying! I can't wait to put it on my tank! The pump shoots water like 10 feet haha

placement of what?lol
other then the 2 u's being different it looks good to me
your not going to put a 90 on the inlet? i like my duel one

and whats going to make it gurgle is the 1 1/4 not flowing the river your going to be pumping
but the valve on the pump will solve that
;)
and if the 1 1/4 doesnt flow good for your pump you can run it with the valve till you make a 2" one
i have my 3/4 running like that till i can make a 1" one,all to be able to flow a 256gph pump
:screwy:
:grinno:
and silicone on what?
did you make a tank?

Silicone will be fine for 'test purposes' but for long term service, you should start with new parts and use PVC cleaner (or primer) and PVC glue.

By using silicone on large parts like this, the pieces can come apart at the worst possible time.

And yes, it is best to have both bottom loops at the same level. It is not a requirement but I can't tell you which other way is ok. I have a concussion and can't think straight.
