I really hope this time its ok :) I installed the filter 2 days ago, 29 glueings , i did use flexi pipes, will never do that again.. It had bin on a roll for for 4 months, and 50mm, it had its own way of behaving to say the least. That said, i tryd to fill it yesterday, and i think it leaked in every single glue connection, as expected actually.. The Glue was crap, the pipes were crap, everything was crap actually.. So today i used aquarium silicone to fix every connection, all 29 of them actually, that was also a crap jobb, hope it holds tho! From now on out, i hope everything is pure joy and happyness :) hehe..

The misstress in the house got mad offcourse, since i stayd downstairs for a whole houre to silicone.. Its a battle you cant win, if you do, she never sees you, and thats offcourse very wrong.. When you just sit in the sofa holding hands, nothing gets done, and thats offcourse very wrong.. How to find the balanse? Any clues out there that ive missed? :D

For the first part of the text i want to ask,Where are these tubes made from ( what type of material)
With some plastics, silicone is not a good combination.
A while ago I had a leak in a PVC fitting.
I then used the silicone to repairing.
Initially, this was fine, but after a few weeks it started to leak again.
For these things I now use polymer sealant.

For the second part of the text i want to say .......lol.
Iam happy iam not the only one with this kind of trouble i read.
Pew, this is a great relief.

I couldnt find the exact data on the material, but it is PVC and high preasure rubber pipe. Seems to be that ive got a weird glue for it all, i was looking at their page(where i ordered it all) and i cant even find the glue they sent me there.

Thankyou for the polymer tips, thats not a bad idea of it leaks again.. A hassle tho. Does the polymer dry quick? (since you dont want the filter to be out for a long time).

Yes it dry very fast, the one i use you can also apply under the water.
Duno what brands in you country are for sale ,but here in the Netherlands i buy Pattex powerfix.
It is non toxic, there are more polymer sealants you can buy here but a lot of them are not good for using in a aquarium.
The manufacturer told me in a mail that i can use Pattex Powerfix without any problems.

Hahahaha! I have the same trouble!

Congratulations on the tank not leaking - I really hope it holds up well and that everything works out.

I have now the last week bin fighting with leaks in the filer, in the joints, and where you can disable(screwjoints), but i think i got it figured out now! I hope to push the play button tomorrow.

The tank is up and running, added another 2 30w led lamps today, looked good imo! I will post pictures as soon as the cloudy water syndrom dissapears.. Anyone know how long that can last btw? Added sand today, so i gues thats why.. Cant wait til tomorrow, wonder how it will look.. Now i have left filling the extra centimeters getting the drip system to play, probably going to drip 100 gallon`s a day on this badboy. That itselfe should take away the cloudyness..

I do have a minor minor leak on one of the assemblys to the pump, its not a big deal, really tiny, and a quick fix when i get what i need to do it.
