Beautiful tanks, what did you use to seal the inside, what type of coating? i'm looking to build one myself, but i'm trying to get as much info and advise before i start.
Your tank looks awesome. I am beginning to like the idea of plywood tanks. Will be lot cheaper than complete glass tanks. For the fish I don't know what to suggest, but make sure you get fish that can live together and not attack each other.Good luck
Thanks for the comments..didnt know i had this many replies-i havent checked this thread in a while. i went with that design because its unique. if you search the web, you can only find a few and theyre about 700-900 bucks. cant do that lol. tenecor is the only one that keeps popping up. i've got a few more new designs that im working on while building this one-i cant stop lol. but as for the seams, im using fiberglass resin for added strength and sealing. but for the coating i'll either use sweetwater epoxy or this cheaper boat building epoxy from uscomposites.com. they have several colored pigments to mix into it. i'll post new pics as soon as i decide which one to use and start coating.
You got the tank building right, now all you have to do is get addicted to monster fish . Please disagree if you must, but would a footprint like that be good for arowanas?
I have one silver arowana thats 12". i thought about putting him in or some peacock bass in it till they get a good size and moving them to a pond in the basement. I'd like to attempt to breed pbass.
