Yea I dont mind telling you about what i used and the schedule of building a tank. Just PM on the specific questions you have.

hi, what thickness of glass did you use for that tank and you said it was 100 gallon, i only ask because i was thinking of making a 200 or 300g plywood tank but im not sure how thick the glass should be the size i was thinking of going was 6'x3'x4' om thinking that would be around 200 to 300g and the glass size i was wanting to view the fish is 5'x2' and im not sure where to buy the glass and how thick it needs to be.

thanks..i used 1/4" glass for that tank because its not really a tall tank. But in your case, if your tank is going to be taller than 2', I'd go with 1/2" thickness. I get my glass from Glasscages.com. I see your in VA, so ordering from them shouldnt be too expensive, because theyre in TN. They make truck deliveries to various cities. Their schedule is on their website. I know they will be in Manassas VA the same day they are coming here to Columbus, Feb 28th. I plan on posting more pics as soon as I put a couple more coats of resin on.

Ok, I'm starting to apply the first coats of resin to the tank. It took me a while because im in the middle of closing on my house. I've been packing and working. The epoxy I got was used for marine applications. They offer pigment for the resin to change the color to pretty much whatever you want. I mixed the two colors that I wanted and it ended up being not enough pigment. I went by the instructions on their website and bought 2 ounces of pigment for a half gallon. What I didnt realize was the pigment was only for a half gallon and not for hardener. So when i mix 3 parts epoxy to 1 part hardener, the mix came out tinted instead of opaque. Lesson learned. I just have to either get more pigment or apply more coats to make it more opaque. I know it will turn out alright, now I just have to take the long route....The first pic is the overflow that will go in the corner in front of the 2 inlet/outlet holes...

Still applying coats...This is the 2nd and 3rd coat. One more final coat. I think I'm going to put my peacocks in this tank.
