Is the wood bowed? I would get a piece of ply then add styro on top on that.

I'll be honest now a days I go buy conc blocks stack then to the height I want. Throw some 2x6 or ply on top of that & wrap in a nice skin that I can remove the whole outer skin in one piece to work on things

Don't think its bowed but possible. I don't like the styro on glass tanks. Don't like that it presses up against the bottom pane.

Can't lift anything to heavy still (surgery) but yeah I'm regretting not going the conder block route

If you go again, before you assemble anything, use your Mark 1 eyeball and look for bowing.

I believe the bows should go up. Yes the corners may not touch when the tank is empty. But when you put the weight in it(water substrate etc) it should flatten the bows and in the end you will have full support of the tank.

Don't forget when you put the two frames together with the vertical studs that will help with pulling the bows out as well.

Thx guys gonna redo. Plywood over 50$

Bottom is almost done need to finish the vertical supports. Wife had to carry it out lol. This is an embarrassment lol

That stand will be so sturdy compared to a store bought. Looking good!

Im still working out details to be able to do a stand with two 65B on top and two 40B on the bottom.
