I’m sorry I’m so late to the party, I was going to tell you to leave the first one. The weight of the water in the tank would have changed everything anyway. But damn, your second attempt had some nice tight corners. I think you should keep at it, that was a hell of a progression. I could see where you missed your cuts on the first set of pics because of the pencil lines. No pencil lines on the new one. It probably didn’t matter but I think your new one looks really nice anyway.

same thing happened to my diy stands for 150g and 40g's.. I added a sheet of plywood just for peace of mind especially on the 150g. plan to do the same for the 210g im gonna start tomorrow.

I don't know how other people or even "king of diy" gets the top even since all the wood I find has bumps and knots up and down the sides. I use plywood now, alot less stressful that way.

Yeah maybe I'll not be a cheap bastard and go pick some up ply up. Just don't wanna drop any more money into this

That double reply was Comcast fault, we have Slowsky problems. All the plywood in the world can’t fix my WiFi.
Lol I'm no fan of comcast

Deal! I hate plumbing. I think it's because I'm a piping designer by day. By the time in get home that's the last thing I want to do.

Building stands no prob though.

Jesus man. That stand could hold up the world. I think the last I checked a single 2x4 like that can take a vert load in the neighborhood of 10k....I think you need more screws lol

tlindsey tlindsey I'll get a better pic but yeah it's stained the sunlight was scrwing with the pic.

pelleeklund pelleeklund thx for suggesting Joey's vid. His plan was almost identical to the one I was using but his called for additional bracing near the side/corner horizontal pieces and it made a huge difference.
