Thanks KTrain!

Well pump will be here tomorrow and the acrylic seems to have siliconed just fine!
I filled the sump with water on one side and have a small leak through the acrylic sheet that i will fix today but besides that all seems well.

I will silicone the PVC in place after i fit it on my tank later today to make sure everythings okay! Still need to buy the bio media(scrubbies) but im thinking of putting the ceramic rings from my AC110 in the sump and having 2 sponges and a bag of carbon on the AC once the sump is up and runnning.

if you dont mine me asking were did you get your quite one pump from.

Well it is all up and running now!

I siliconed the PVC in place and it is now leak-proof and the sump is working like a charm.

I placed the 3 bags of ceramic rings on my AC110 into the sump now and have more room for mech on the fitler.

I also placed 3 sheets of polyfiber stacked up covering the basket of the sump for mech. Bio is only the 3 bags of ceramic for now, but probably going to get some scrubbies or more rings in the following days.

Ok now onto the pump review.....

I decided to go with a QuietOne 1200 which is labeled for 296 or so GPH at 0 foot head.

Guys if you are thinking of getting these pumps i strongly advise you to call the company beforehand... this is why:

I was checking out the flow rating online here : http://www.bigalsonline.com/getAsset.mtw?
catalogId=82&assetId=110337&languageId=EN

At 4 foot head the pump should be pushing aproximately 200 GPH according to the diagram.

When i received the pump today at 4 foot head the box says its under 150 GPH..... and even at 3 foot head wont reach 200 GPH which just sucks.

I had designed the spray bar with enough holes for a 200-250 GPH pump and now the water flows out very slowly and doesnt make enough surface agitation.

Besides that, the pump is quiet and does it's job. Also make sure to have 3/4" inner diameter hose for the pump even though on the website it states 1/2" >.<..... I had bought the 1/2" hose already and was lucky enough to find an adapter that fit on the pump rather than wasting $15 for more hose.

The sump runs quiet and i like it so far, i might upgrade to a bigger pump someday though lol.

Only downside i can see so far is mech filtration as the overflows only skim the top of the water and dont pick up uneaten food and such floating around as well as your canister/HOB, which is why im running an AC110 as well.
