I use this material at work. If you are wanting some, you might be able to call around to local countertop shops to see if they have any scraps. They should have some small pieces laying around that they would just be throwing out. It's very easy to work with.

I haven't purchased the pumps or the pot scrubbers yet. The pot scrubbers will go under the drip plate and the pumps to return the water back into the tank will be on the opposite side of the filter sock.

It's an acrylic, so I just used a standard 80 tooth blade. The same one that I use to cut wood. The hole was cut using a rotozip.
 
Corian sump? Are you going to enter it in "Better Homes and Gardens"? LOL
