Best I can do from work Fishman0 sorry. Hope this helps

is the idea to trap debris in the firat chamber? will the tops be open to remove any buildup?

The point of this is to have an overflow without holes in your tank. It's an ingenius design. Overflows to a siphon then on the otherside overflows to a tube leading to a wet/dry.

but the siphon never breaks correct?

I may not be visualizing it the right way, but I don't see how the water will ever rise high enough to flow from one side to the other... without the water in the tank rising to the same level... ie overflowing...

Everyone seems to be missing the goal here. This is a just a DIY version of a hang on back overflow.

I looked for the thread where a member made one using specimen containers. It was a great job, but unfortunately, he has taken down the pictures. He took a lot of time and it turned out really well.

Maxx..

Hard to visualize in this picture because I had to use ms paint because I am at work. It will be at water level to keep from losing syphon. Going to home depot tommorrow to get the stuff. Want to play with this because I am cutting the ply for my build Sunday and want to test this for a couple weeks then put it on my 75.
