my guppies had 4 fry a few days ago and then yesterday all of the fry disappeared. did the guppies eat them or is it possible that my african cichlids did? i feed both plenty of food and their is a zucchini tied to a rock at the bottom of the tank so it just doesn't make sence that the africans would eat them. their are still more fry popping up today so it might be the old fry, or it might be new. i do not know.

Both of those fish would be more than happy to eat the fry.In my experience guppys will often eat some of their fry. but some usually survive to over-populate the tank 
Any cichlid however will totally exterminate them
Doesn't matter how well you feed them, if a baby guppy swims past they wont be able to resist 
I have a kribensis in my guppy tank, just as population control, works well. If I ever want more guppys I can just take it out for a few weeks and have hundreds of fry

Why do you keep guppies with africans? 
As all fish know, guppy fry are just irisistable, even to thier mother. I used to love being woke up in the morning by the loud popping of my angels eating the fry. But then the angels ate the guppes.

guppy fry is a guppy moms feast. they should usaully have to be seperated for the fry to live.

a bucket is a worst thing you can keep fish in...unless you're planning to eat it.
