Glass-Holes.com has it, or can point you in the right direction...
or use soft flexible hose like pool cleaning hose...
slide it on the pipe and use a hose clampsashimimaster;4201833; said:How would I attach the pool hose to PVC? Maybe I can just put a zig zag in the vertical pipe.
take a section of the pipe you're going to run, and get enough hose to go from the bulkhead fitting, to the top of the wet/dry, this will eliminate all the hard fittings that contribute to the noise...sashimimaster;4202331; said:I found some 45" elbows at Lowes. If I attach 6 of them together it makes a zig zag. I'll go to the pool supply and check out the hose there.
You'll see for yourself what I'm talking about...when water drops down the verts and hits a hard elbo, changing directions, you get splashing noises inside the PVC. The flex hose allows for long gradual bends, that create less noise.sashimimaster;4203142; said:I thought the contributor to noise was the straight drop in a hard tube? If I have a straight drop in a corrugated tube (pool hose) that eliminates it? I can do the same with the zig zag pvc too right? I'm not too keen on attaching corrugated tubes vertically for long term. I can see that tube getting stretched out over time.
