It's not just to lose the business. Insurance companies have put in place rules that if a patient don't get what they want they can call and make a complaint. Whether it's legitimate or not. That complaint goes against the physician. Never gets investigated and if a certain number is relieved then will remove the physician. It's all part of the game. Too bad.

why? when all the vaccinations are creating stronger, faster and more resistant diseases. We can not win an Arms race against Mother-nature.

Simple minds wont understand, but "we" are to blame for most of the diseases today.

The main reason we have super bugs is due to people over using antibiotics. Patients with common cold symptoms will come to see their pcp and insist on antibiotics even though common cold is viral and not bacterial. PCPs knows that these patients will just go elsewhere to get meds if they don't get what they want, so they give it to them to not lose business. Then you have the people who don't finish antibiotics like they're they are suppose to since they feel better and don't think its necessary to finish the meds as described. These are the reasons for super bugs.

I know this, Im a educated person.

Oh its not the stupid peoples fault, they are just doing whats natural.

Never made any implications that you are "uneducated".

Sure there are plenty of diseases still out there, but its no worst than any other time period. Matter of fact, humans, on average, are living longer than ever due to the advances in medicine like vaccinations. There was time not too long ago, when a simple staph infection from getting a bad torn prick can kill you.

I got my first flu shot ever this year because my wife was pregnant. Im just the kind of guy who avoids doctors and needles all together. I've gotten flu viruses before, theu normally last less than 48 hours. I even got salmonella once from some dirty chicken wings, It took 6 days and half a dozen bottles of pedialite, but I survived. Not the smartest call on my behalf.

My pregnant wife got a flu shot too, and still got the flu. We spent a couple thousand dollars at the emergency room for that. It could have been really serious for her and the baby. Without iv fluids I dunno what would've happened.

I'm pro vaccine. My parents can remember going to school with kids who had polio, some of these epidemics werent too long ago. I don't want to help bring any of that back. I vaccinated my new born. We broke up the vaccines into multiple appointments, it's just my opinion, based on no scientific facts whatsoever - that a <10lb human doesn't need to be crammed full of half a dozen vaccinations in a single sitting.

I think i may continue to get flu shots my self, for the sake of my daughter getting sick.

I'm for vaccines for some illnesses...but the first flu shot I've gotten since I was like 10 was for the army...and I NEVER even got the hint of the flu before that. I think people jump at the chance to get the easy way out on some things such as the flu...

in the case of the welfare of a child I can understand the need to get one, but regular ol' average joe teenagers should be building their immune systems IMO.

I don't understand about letting people build up immune system. The way vaccine works is that it exposes the immune system to a dead virus(or in some cases, lower number of live viruses) so the immune system get a a chance to make antibodies so it will be ready to fight the real thing later.

This particular argument is on the same line as let's only build levees when a flood is coming because we need to test our levee making skills...

From the mid 90's up to about 2006 I didn't get flu shots and got the flu every year...and felt like I was on death's door everytime. So, I can believe people die from it.

Once I started taking the flu shot, the number of times I got sick was reduced. Also only once or twice since then did I feel super bad.

Since there are many strains of the flu, I don't believe getting a flu shot means you won't get the flu. In my case I have seen enough evidence to continue getting the shot though.
