I cant do stuff like that. other fishes yeah, but not the ones I know.

wow so people really do eat cichlids huh, interesting, i culd never eat one tho, seems too wrong or nasty lol, but i guess they are just fish in a sense for some people, mine r still my pets tho

Their just fish, I once saw a documentary about the amazon and it showed the market place where you buy fish for cooking. Whats for sale ?, Arawanas, pacus, lots of large cichlids etc. all WILD CAUGHT :-) I wished I was there to feast :-).... though i would not have the stomach to eat my own pet fish.

well seein how these fish get large and bulky, i culd definitely see them being sold as food, i wonder which ones taste the best lol?

at the beginning of the thread people talked about the fish not being tastey cause it was fed on pellets etc,
you are only eating the flesh the stomach is removed along with other guts and the taste of the flesh wont change because of the fishes diet lol
as for the question yes i would
im growing a crayfish right now to eat

The fishes diet most certainly changes the taste of flesh...along with its water quality, salinity, amount of light it receives etc.

I'd imagine aro's would make great long fillets.

Totally agree! Everything that we eat gets its taste from its food and environment. Food, environment, and physical activity also dictates the tenderness of the flesh.

then why do animals that we eat that feed on pretty much garbage taste so good?
are you saying if we fed our pigs with pineapples and mangos that bacon would taste orgasmifyingly good?
