Do they hate you?

i get mixed reviews too some people think its ok but i spend far too much and some give me **** for it but who cares its a hobby i like it..

my family says it beats getting in trouble and going to jail..my other 2 brothers dont have fish and they waste their money every weekend on alcohol..
 
Thats what I told them and now that I'm down to one tank and of all they wouldn't let me bring the 120 into thier house while I'm temp. here....I just wanna go out cuz taking care of one tank is pretty much a walk in the park and I must say I'm a bit more interested when I have 10 diff. tanks to watch:)
 
I have a few mates that show a bit of interest. One of my mates even helped me pull apart a tank today.

Ive actually found a girl that really likes my fish so that is cool. LOL.

Im only 16 so most of the people I talk to fish about are 25+ anyway.

I agree with everyone here. But if its your mouth, you think about a breath mint or mouth wash. JK
 
Actually quite the opposite. Everyone I know thinks it's very cool. Not to mention chicks have ALWAYS been impressed with my fishtanks. It's never seemed to matter wether it was a girlfriend, no girl I was dating, or girl I just met at a bar. They have always loved the tank and spent some time just watching the fish.
 
I've had people bash me for it.... until they see my tanks and are like "Holy ****!"

As for girls, its something you may not want to mention at first because they may have associated fish with disgust earlier in their life, and therefor will probably think you are a little weird for it.
 
I understand that fish isn't everybody's "cup of tea"... so I won't talk fish to much in detail to those certain individuals (friends, family members, etc. ) Now if they happen to ask me about them or my hobby, depending on how much interest they show towards them??... that's where I'll decide how far & deeeeeep I'll go into it!! :D

After people have seen my fish & tanks... most of them usually can understand why I'm so into it. They realize it takes alot of dedication, time, patience, and money to be in this hobby... and they have to respect that!! Why wouldn't they?!! :headbang2

Shoot, I'll even run into people that i don't even know and say... "Hey, aren't you "so and so's friend"???... your the guy w/ all the fish tank huh?!! :redface:
Sometimes, 'Out of the blue'... chicks will even bring me rocks, driftwood, decorations, and other accessories over to me!... They'll say something like,,, "I seen this piece of wood or rock while I was at 'so and so'... and I thought about You and your Fishes 'n Tanks!! :grinyes: Lol!
