that was funny! I do use fresh mints, not that I have too. I cant leave the house without them and if I dont have those tic tacs I probably dont hang out with my lady friends. but anyways back into fish, I'm giving my Oscars away so if you are interested plz pm me and I will probably give them from free. (Just make sure you have a tank bigger than a 90 gallon and actually love oscars and will be willing to take care of them better than I do)

I get hell from everyone that i dont see at school, they thing im insane for keeping suck a big tank, but i dont consider my 180 "BIG" big for me starts at 300 gallons
pet store keepers look at me weird when i try and talk to them about fish and when i buy fish, "they say you need a big tank to keep this fish", i tell em i have a 180 gallon and they shut the hell up and get me the fish i asked for.
i told my mom im planning to get a 300, and she say's no your not getting the tank that big, i said you cant stop me, im 18, and beside its not going in your house.

Most of my girlfriends family frowns upon my fishkeeping hobby. Her father thinks it is a waste of time and money (though his smoking, drinking and shooting costs much more). Her sister dislikes it because I choose "ugly" fish like oscars, sunfish and catfish. Others think it is not manly enough and childish. I should be out fixing cars, hunting and getting drunk at age 21.
I got my girlfriend to like fish by buying her a betta. She fell in love with it (alot, as if it were a new puppy) and now she's into cichlids and wants more bettas. I realize that I'm mostly just lucky that she's open minded & loves me for the weirdo that I am, but atleast she doesn't look at me like I'm stupid for having such a passion for fishkeeping. I've read the rantings of many men who have "fish hobby hating wives". Glad I'm not one of em. I will be marrying my girlfriend soon and together we will be fishgeeks!
I'm 25 year old, and my husband is 34 years old. We both have fish, salt and fresh water. Easily spent over $2, 000 in are tanks. Everyone I know that have seen them love's to look at them. And the people that haven't seen them, do think we are alittle crazy. But once they see them thay change there minds. Tell your mother that your fish are your kids. I think see should under stand that.
