i think so i caught a 2ft feeder comet gold fish in a lake dam before it must of escaped. but i took it home an ate it. it was okay didn't taste of much difference to normal fishes. Remember that kois are gold fishes too, also relate to the carp family.

all the carps from anywhere also gold fishes(even in japan) they are Originaly from china because, they can survie when water conditon are bad and will eat anythin from falling fruits live fish cheese, algae, and insctectes. Just any thing will do for their diet.

I would eat my aquarium fish if I know what I did to the water and I know why it died... other then that I just go out to river/inlet and catch my tasty fish..

Goldfish ARE NOT carp and koi are not goldfish. Koi are the same exact species as the common carp (Cyprinus carpio). Goldfish (Carassius auratus) are not even in the same genus.

The only way i would eat my fish is if i knew how it died, like jumping out of the tank. I would never kill my own fish just to eat it. Kinda defeats the purpose of keeping and careing it for so long.
