Do you get attached to your fish?

I cried for at least 15 minutes when my first ever pbass died and had a terrible school day that day but I would give up fishkeeping altogether if my biggest bass flash died.hes the reason my ambition for this hobby is still going strong . I'm also attached to my baby bass as I'm am just getting them on pellets which is a lot of work
