We're paycheck-to-paycheck, our only real savings is the equity in our house, cars, motorhome, et cetera. We used to make more, but my wife has cut back to three days a week at work.

We couldn't make it a month without working, but I try not to sweat it too much! :nilly:

I try to always have enough saved to at least last me two months unemployeed...

Even then I could sell off ALL my fish and last about 2 months off them!

I voted jobless and going to school. I don't depend on my parents' other than having free rent. But when I did have a job, I saved up my money and I'm basiclly living off of that for my personal expenses. It's tough finding a job with our economy being this way.

dont live paycheck to paycheck, always been a big believer in savings, which I'm glad, well see how long I can go without work, as today is my last day, laid off for a while. Not too worried, I will get decent ei benifits and have more time to finish my 700 Gallon ;)

Me and my wife live P-to-P with at least $100 a month put into savings. She works only 10 days a month and is a full time student so we pretty much just rely on my paycheck. Luckily she will have her LPN at the end of this month and be able to work more hours next year till she finishes with the RN.

Once she is done I will finally go back to finish up my accounting degree and hopefully keep going until I'm a CPA.

Day care is KILLING us at a little over $550 a month. We could go two maybe three months on savings. Our savings is hopefully a downpayment on a house in the country WAY DOWN south some where one day....

I picked the option that included school. Right now, I'm in my second year of college. I've got 2 part time jobs, but they don't give me much. My basic living expenses right now are taken care of primarily by loans and scholarships.

You mean home equity isn't extinct yet? haha.

I do not live paycheck to paycheck. If I lost my job, I could live for about 6 months. Still working on that though. Ideally I'd like to live for one year without a job. Just gotta keep saving.

I like this thread. It's good to see a lot of people that are surviving in this economic climate and not looking for hand out's.

Thank you
Chris
