Do you Overfeed or Underfeed or are you perfect?

i tend to feed to much, but it also makes my lazt butt get up and do water changes so i just keep doing it lol

I currently feed several days in a row with a day off every 3-4 days. Fed on an every other day schedule for quite a while and everyone survived just fine. I may over feed once in a while but everyone seems healthy, not too skinny or fat. I feed the growing monsters more and direct feed or night feed the shy ones.

i am going to give the every other day a try and see how everyone does.. but i am glad to hear it worked for you, all your guys look fabulous.

i will tell myself how much better off they will be .,..how much better their water quality will be and hide all the food from my temptation.. have camera in my hand instead..

I definitely overfed. When my silver wouldn't eat for a month I kept feeding trying to get him to eat. So when he did finally eat I fed him more he kept eating everything. So did water changes 3 times a week to clean up my mess. Now my lfs tells me I'm doing too many water changes. Haven't touched it in a week and everyone seems happy. Silver is getting big.

Thats great to hear Brian...silvers will give you a big run for your money...fasting and then eating alot... then turning their nose up at certain foods.. always keeping us on our toes...lol

i overfeed... but the tank is always perfect... waterchanges every 2-3 weeks 30%-40%.. daily topoffs.. its so i can be sure that everyone has lots of food.. theres 9 otos in the main tank as well as a handfull of cherry shrimp and a few snails... i want more of each and they all pick at the leftovers so if i keep them fat and happy ill end up with more at somepoint

my pbass get pissed if i dont feed them. as soon as i go in room, they thrash in cornor for food and if i walk out with out feeding they go nuts and splash everywhere
