Okay, so people are carrying big fish in too small tanks then? If I ever get a CK it's gonna have a tank/pond that big or I'm not getting one at all.

Who says what's too small? Assuming the fish is healthy and the water is clean, is there really a problem? I love when people talk about a fish being "happy", especially when it's something like a clown knife that naturally would occupy an area the size of a swimming pool, if not a mile of river. Plus, plus when was the last time you saw a 36" clown? Only ones I've ever seen were at public aquariums.

Also, according to that formula, neon tetras should be happy in a tank the is 6" long and 3" wide...

If we really want the fish to have a perfect life, leave it in the river.

btw they dont need thattttt much space cause they dont even swim much...trust me..mine just hide under the bridge and come out for food at night...very lazy fish...

Aha! I knew there was a member with 3 footers! Couldn't remember who lol

Well I don't know, I'm asking... I think the fish should be able to MOVE that's all, and if a tank isn't even three times it's lenght, can it really?

And I don't see many 36'' clowns, and I really wonder why because there seem to be a hell of a lot of small ones out there..

'Cause most don't get any bigger than about 24" I suppose. I'd say that's the average adult size in captivty...

I hear some people saying a 150g will do them for life. I think that a 240g would be quite nice. ;)

Here's mine in the 220...he's 22". Hasn't grown much in three years.
