Not even similar. One hand an edited video posted some how becones child porn. Other is a sex tape released. People have them released against there will all the time. Only reason that became news is he jumped.

Child abuse doesnt have to actually occur for a perpetrator to be charged. Do you also defend those chat room perverts that get busted on "To catch a predator" because no actual child was involved? It shouldnt be a crime according to your logic. :screwy:

Mod please close. I never wanted to discuss child porn as its a serious crime. I posted for opinions on wether it was a civil or criminal case. People are being made out to be pro child abuse for thinking its a civil case

Criminal case is filed by the District Attorney. As for an individual, he/she can file the charge and decide whether to follow it with a civil case. It's up to the District Attorney to find whether the charge is merit and violate any code, and then file a criminal case. If there's no charge filed, then there's no civil case. However, it's not up to the individual to file a criminal case. I thought you would know that...
