do you know if they make the Kreg Jig in just one size fits all or do they make them for different nominally sized lumber? Doc, here has his in a size for 2x4's. Do they make them in sizes for 2x6, 2x8 and etc.? Please advise. Thanks.

David - the Kreg Jig is a great little device. The standard model is adjustable to accommodate lumber ranging from 1/2" to 1-1/2" thick. In the case of 2X6, 2X8 etc, you can just slide the jig over to add more pocket holes (as many as you want).

Hey Gang,

Sorry for the lag in this thread. Life has just been kicking my butt the last few weeks and I have been forced to concentrate on some other priorities.

I am hoping to get back at it in the next few days and have more progress pics.

Thanks a ton for all of the positive feedback and your support. That is part of what makes MFK so great.

Do they make just the standard model or are there others to choose from? Inquiring minds would like to know.

Hey, Doc! Good to see you haven't left the province. Welcome back. Was kinda worried you were ill at home and couldn't get out of bed cause the Mrs. was tending to ya being under the weather. Glad to see your back though. Anxious to see what ya got in store for use now as an update. BTW, if you don't mind me asking, are you a real Dr.? Vetrinarian, M.D., G.P. or Dentist ???

Actually, I am not a doctor at all. :D

When I first started keeping Malawi Cichlids, I fell in love with Pseudotropheus Polit. I just needed something catchy to go along with it.

Thus, Doc Polit was born. :headbang2

Cool Handle. I love it! So . . . how is the build doing? Anything excitingly new, with updates and photo's on your build? I hope there are?

I notice you're from Red Deer. Have you always lived there? I have kin-folk who live in Stirling, which is about 4 km? south of Lethbridge. Have you ever been there? I have not. I wonder what it is like.

To: the_deeb . . . where is Chapel Hill?

Sorry, but I thought I ask on the fly here. O.K. so lets get back to business here now. Cheers.

Well after much deliberation, I am bringing this thread to a "temporary" close. I have an opportunity to upgrade to a 180 gallon for a terrific price so I have my current project up for sale.

I'll keep you posted. :naughty:

I closed the sale of this project yesterday (and picked up a pre-owned Fluval FX5 in the process). The tank is the future home for some beautiful Malawi Haps and Peacocks that are currently in the new owners 125 gallon.

I am picking up my 180 gallon next weekend and I can hardly wait. :headbang2

Thanks for all of the interest/support for this thread.

Stay tuned for my next DIY Journal. 'Til then.......
