It's the ol game of supply and demand......

Anyone remember PT losers selling for over sticker when they were introduced?
I actually only over paid by $3-4000 for mine. It was still nearly a 6 month waiting list(2001). I only waited 2 weeks for mine as it was a cancellation. Funny thing...it was exactly what I wanted. Color, transmission and trim(they told me the options before I told them it was what I wanted). It had 6 miles on it (I think it just broke 100,000 this week).

Edit: I just checked and it has 99,899 miles

How have you managed to keep the mileage so low?..Do you live very close to your work or drive something else mostly?

I don't travel much and having 3 cars help. Actually since there is now me and my wife and she drives the PT alot...the miles are adding up quickly.

My 1991 Ford Ranger only had 127,000 miles on it when I sold in it 2007. That comes out to an average of 7937.5 miles a year. The PT is 7684.5 which is a surprise it's less but I did drive the Ranger across the country. I've never driven the PT out of Texas(Only 2 big road trips(more then 150 miles one way)).

The third car is the Chevette?...I'd like to do a cross country drive someday.

Yes, I'm lucky if I get 300 miles a year on it though.

Done it several times in the past with relatives living in PA and Ohio. I went from Austin,Texas to Cincinnati, Ohio in 23 hours with 1 hour sleep

Farthest I've ever driven was from here to Canada.

That's crazy. Exactly like the old lady I know that owns a PT. Drives it to Wal-Mart once a week, a mile away. It's over 10 years old and is like a brand new car.

Borg, do you know what the deal was with the Mexican guy who committed suicide in that Dallas intersection?? The source I heard from, said the guy spray painted something in spanish on the side of his van, before killing himself, but didn't say what the words were.

Mopar = Making older professional autotechs retire.

Why? Cause they know what FIAT stands for.
