i said bubble cause when i searched it it came up on a topic of white bubbles. if you have really big fish with alot of waste with alot of feeding and you keep the tank above 80 and well aireated you have a chance of getting a white film when your bubbles pop at the top. they basically get dirty from protein coming up from the aireator. just like a protein skimmer basically. just that you do the skimming:D.

Well since I'm pretty good with my Macro lense-
Looks like it might be time for some pics of this crap------

Maybe it will be more clear after that....No way is this caused by bubbles---Plus I got much larger fish than a 10 Piraya (now dead anyhow)-

I'm not trying to be an ass or anything even remotely close to that----

I just can't see this being caused by what your are saying is all....Maybe I am wrong though-

oh i know i am just throwing it out as a possibility. not saying it aint from the bio media cause it very well could be. just saying if you have the problem in the future it might be from this.

i feed raw shrimp too btw but 2 a day... you think that protein completely leaves the water after it goes in their mouth?

Not exactly----It just with feeding a 26 inch pacu and my old 2 foot silver Aro----And gowing through over 2 pounds of raw shrimp feeding them-I have not seen this problem yet.

Not saying it couldn't happen---I'm just doubting that right now is all....It just looks way different then what the extra "protien" should look like....

Like I said-This stuff is very small in size-But yet heavy for what it is.....Doesn't seem like that could have anything to due with protien-IMO....

I appreciate all info Sir.....I also appreciate the tme your taking to help explain this to me and trying to figure it out...

No harm in discussing things.....

i would compare protein the cream on top of capachino(not spelled right). and i had this guy with 3 full grown oscars and a 14" jag.
i'm not saying you arent good on your WC's and stuff like that cause it can do it in a day or 2.

Nice pacu-

On water changes-The only thing I could possibly tell/ask you is to look through my pics-My tanks speak for themselves on maintence issues-----I'm one picky SOB when it come to maintaining an aquarium....
