does fish feel pain

Do you even like fish? Other then the food aspect of them? You're really killing this whole eating fish business, your starting to look freakishly retarded...or obsessed.
 
AGHHH! I cringe when i see the improper grammer....ack! DO fish feel pain?! lol. Well, this is a simple question. They have a notorcord....a central nervous system. That means they have a brain and neurons....so yeah...they do feel pain. Haven't you seen a fish twitch if it gets hit by another fish or sumptin? Do they have emotions, now thats a harder question...one would think so the way some cichlids ack...but who can really tell?
 
I actually have always heard that they dont feel pain. I wouldnt say they dont, but i dont think they feel it like us.
 
I've heard all the lab results say fish don't feel pain. So I'll take the word of some Ph.Ds over some fishkeepers.
 
have u ever took a needle to one they twich they get weak they breath harder they die. have u fed your fish and have to cut up feeders they twich they die like us we would twich and then we die. so the answer is yes they feel pain.

They may not be on crack, but they're obviously not too bright. Our brains associate pain with something being wrong with our bodies, as any... well... crackhead could tell you. It may not be the same sensation that we consider painful, or even be remotely similar, but as Jer said they do have nervous systems, and obviously feel pain like sensations. Too many key players in modern science have become far too narrow minded. It'll sound like I'm being so when I say that any arguement that they can't sense pain dosn't hold water, but it's a fact.
