Ummmm if you buy your goldfish from a reputable dealer they will be fine. I dont know where you buy your feeders from, sounds like petco.:screwy:

Theres no such thing as a reputable feeder goldfish dealer lmao :hitting:. Feeders in general are incredibly over stocked no matter where you buy them. Petco HA, i breed my own feeders.

general rule of thumb that I follow is either add small fish to the tank, or add multiple fish to the tank at once. the more fish you put in, then more the aggression will be spread.

I second Pharoh. I try to add small groups of newbies, turn off lights, and feed the exsisting fish prior to leaving for the store. A little rearange helps out to. Be sure to get the beaten one fully recovered before you re-introduce.
I am helping out a goldfish that was in my pond skimmer for a few days. When I got him out, he was missing 75% of his scales and had torn fins. A little stress coat, fresh, clean water, and meds, will help the healing process.

ignorant, lol, "my lfs has 10 tanks for feeders", i think your full of crap, anyone whos gonna argue that feeders are kept in good conditions is ignorant, if you like to feed your fish disease thats your perogitive, but if i can talk someone else out of it, im gonna. So take a :chillpill:. Besides if your already gonna spend .50 why not just spend 1.00 and have the peace of mind.

whats it matter... no one likes gold fish here... I am against all the drifters... but oh well... I like add them in groups or when small. Or take the old ones out and then introduce them again
