does the law stop any of you from buying the fish that you want? it wouldnt stop me, cops arent going to come in your house and look at your fish and be smart enough to know which ones are legal or not.

It stops me. It's not worth risking all of my other fish and equipment.

what happens to u if u were to be caught with snakeheads or asian arowanas in your house and u live in the us. IS it a fine or could you get something more serious?

i just cant see a police man coming in for something and seeing your fish tank and being like "THAT FISH IS ILLEGAL" and snatchin up all your stuff

hell, i dont know the difference between half of the fish and ive been into the hobby for a year and a half

probably not but if i did have ilegals i would keep it to myself or change my location.

Parks and wildlife officers frequent this site.

but in short no if i wanted a particular species. i would find a way to get it.
besides the penalty in my state aint so bad. class c misdemeanor 20-500 dollars. i dont live near any natural bodies of water i would pretty much get a slap on the wrists and lose my fish

"Parks and wildlife officers frequent this site."

do they really?

''cops arent going to come in your house'' tell that to people who its happened to
''and look at your fish and be smart enough to know which ones are legal or not.No they'll just confiscate any that look suspicious (which can be any or all)
But hey good for ya do what ya want just don't whine if and when you get busted
