don't lie, who has made the rtc or tsn mistake?

back to the point of the thread................
i had a 15" rtc and a 24" giraffe in my 1200 gallon pond and was growning out my rtc x tsn in my 55, went through a divorce and wasnt in my own house for 3 months, was able to set up a 300 gallon rubbermaid in the basement where i was, had to get rid of my smaller fish, but kept my larger ones. i was underfeeding the 300 and the 55 both to slow growth and try to keep water in check, my 2 pacu's decided to get back at me for cutting there food intake and were tired of being hungry and took a chunk out of the side of my giraffe, and a chunk out of and the fins off my rtc, they both died. i stunted my rtc x tsn keeping him underfed and in a 55. since i got him into the 300 rather than the 55 he has grown an inch and a half per month and i have a rtc and an artc both growing out in my 55 now

RU Kidding me.....My LFS has 3 TSN's about 6". They have never had them before. I was thinking what if tomorrow.......

I has had one (tsN) a while back but it died due to intestinal parasite... have never fed my fish feeders since and never will again...

ive had all of the big cats so far mentioned in this thread(with the exception of the above said planiceps) and have always done my research. just decided someone could love them more than me and gave most of them up. still have my RTCxTSN though.

The guy i got my RTC off had wanted one for ages, finally tracked one down and kept her for less than 2 months. She doubled in size and started eating his other fish, he wont be getting another one lol

i actually really want to give it another go one day with a rtc again. if i do though, im gonna make sure the pond is in place prior to me even getting one. it seems like so many people get one and say "i have plans for a pond in the near future" but never come through. i see it all the time haha. props to those of u who actually do have the pond or have started the build.

+1 On that marauder....I had all the materials for my pond prior to my RTCxTSN purchase...putting it together now.

Friend bought a TSN. It is doing well and managable so far after 6 months.

For months now I have REALLY wanted a rtc, tsn, and a hybrid but I keep putting it on hold because I want to get everything at least semi-ready before I get them. Of course there is always the 600g pool but I really don't want to use it because I'm afraid their spines will pierce the liner and such.

But hopefully in the next few weeks I'll be ready for some kitties.
