Dovii or Umbee?

i'd personally take an Umbee just on adult color and rarity compare to the dovii..I had both and just sold my Dovii about a week ago..but like some stated in this thread..Umbees cant hold their ground against other aggressive cichlids when they are small..my umbee almost died because the divider broke and the Dovii got through..the size difference was an inch between the two with the dovii being bigger..

I agree that Dovii are tough to photograph. They just don't look the same when you take pics of them. Can never get a good shot even when they are out in front.
My Umbees on the other hand seem to pose when they see the camera.
 
Umbee is much cuter than Dovii, but i guess Dovii is more aggressive.
 
also anyone in the dc area go the the national zoo amazonia exzibt and you will see 2 huge dovii with nuchal humps and crazy color one is almost completly green. someone with a camerra please post pics if you go
 
i say keep what you already have instead of just abandoning it for something different, but im the type that believes that you should keep the pets you buy.

really???? every LFS here has dovii, and i have yet to ever see an umbee in person.
