well I completely agree. it just seemed dovii was the only fish thats max size never seemed to happen like there are 17 inch jags, 15 inch citrinellum but no 30 inch dovii I was just seeing if anybody agreed is all
I 100% see your point. Its a really thick bulky male, but all I am basing my post on is the video as I have not seen the fish in the flesh. Its a lovely beast but IMO it looks shy of 2 feet. It may not be and it could be bang on the money. Regardless its a lovely fish and a great tank size.
in the thread largest dovii in private aquaria it explains that dovii is along the lines of 18 inches a year and a half ago so probably bigger now but has amazing photos of that beast as well this is an account from someone whos been there in person so definitely more merit to that
although no matter how big thats gotta be one of the happiest doviis out there, his umbee is a giant too in his 100 gallon. mel has the ultimate collection
Pretty sure he lost the Umbee along with most other fish from the 1000 in some sort of accident.
wow had no idea, I thought it looked empty when he passed it in his last video thats terrible. that umbee was a tank
More merit than the owner? If the owner says it's around 27" and the fish is actually 18" he is way off. I wonder if the female he says is around 12" is closer to 3"?
of course theres not more merit than mel but how do you explain two people looking at the same fish coming up with like a 9 inch difference in length? I guess ill just have to go see it for myself.
