Dovii Tank Question

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
i agree with everyone dont do it minimum 6x2x2 for them (for a very happy dovii) i have no idea how many gallon that is

yeah since i do not have room nor the tank to house a dovii, what are some other cichlid suggestions? I saw this beautiful green terror and was thinking of getting it

green terrors are a awesome fish, i highly reccommend them i had one that would attack the glass at me, i had quite a few fish in the tank with him and he didnt bother any of them unless they tried to take over his tank and even then it was just a little warning nothing to worry about

DO NOT DO IT!
UR ASKING FOR 75 GALLONS ON THE FLOOR WHEN THE DOVI DECIDES THE TANK IS TO SMALL!
BUT you can keep one in there for one year.. ofcourse it needs to start out at 2 inches and grow out there fora year
it would break the glass?

No they wouldn't, that was suppose to be joke(well to me it is)
But here's a fact, they are known as tank busters...do to a fact that they will ram at the tank so hard they literally put a big scratch onto the tank. As far as I researched and known of. But there are no reports of them breaking tanks yet. I think the tank breakers belongs in the marine category...mantis shrimp :D okay back to the topic.

I am panicing as i have 250g and dovii thats prob just acceptable. no point keeping fish if you cant try to make them act as natural as possible in a false envoiroment

Try a male Mota, it will be happy in a 75 as a wet pet for life. Same Parachromis additude in a much smaller package. They only get about 12" and you can enjoy the same basic behavior.

I have had my 6th Dovii and they S-----!!!!!! Please way over rated size and aggression-i wanted to buy a bass but didnt cause my Dovii was too small!!!

To be honest i am tired of hearing how bad this fish is!!!!! Please my have gotten punked by Trimac, Red Devil, Black Belt, Umbee-true monster!!!, Escondido, Red Bay Snook, Pike Cichlid, yeah an Oscar, Barred Amarillo-supposed to be passive!!!!, and an Jack Dempsey-please son-75 is more than enough room-get ready to fall asleep!!!!
