Wow. Dovii get HUGE, and are epic aggressive. You couldn't've been more wrong.

So everyone on this thread is lying? :screwy:

My glass is 5/8" thick and my Dovii hits it so hard I can hear the thumps and thwacks throughout the house. If I put my hand on the glass, I can feel the power so hard thru the glass, I would swear it's eventually going to break....and at 13.5", he's far from his full potential size.

To be honest i am tired of hearing how bad this fish is!!!!! 75 is more than enough room

Are you serious or just trolling? PLEASE stop telling new MFK'ers that a 75g is more than enough for a Dovii. That's got to be the most ridiculous thing I've heard on these forums in while. My Dovii is continuously active and swimming back and forth across the tank. If he were in a 75g, I can almost guarantee he'd be sitting on his side at the bottom of the tank sulking like an Oscar.

My big male hits the acrylic so hard I don't think I could make a louder sound if I kicked the tank. It sounds like a gun going off....... The suction and impact is a very distinct sound, and it scares the %&$# out of me if I'm not ready for it! Hahaha!
