Dovii vs Umbee

Showed my coworkers both of them. One said umbee for sure and the other loved the dovii. As of right now I say the dovii, but once that umbee gets bigger he may take the crown. Both totally awesome fish. I'm sooo jealous. ;)

Thanks for the kind words fellas! Trace my thoughts exactly lol the dovii was gonna be a temp but now im contemplating what to do lol. Pckts, Umbee can get as large as dovii if not bigger, check out you tube :)
 
what about from Mr Guapote Mel and Skip and so many others in the pond in florida and at public aquariums somewhere?
 
Mel will be the first to tell you.
His Dovii is bigger than his umbee. And he has huge tanks devoted to both, but his biggest is devoted to his Dovii pair.

Mel even claims his dovii to be between 24'' - 28'' a year ago, which could possibly make him the largest dovii ever recorded.

Wow a WHOLE two inch bigger!! How old is your research? To say Dovii get bigger based on old records is not that concrete,

So you think this beast is 24 inch?
