Doviis....Red and Regulars 3-26-09 load warning!!

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Thanks for responses everyone

The bag picture was taken right after it was caught, it was chased around the 125g they were in for 2-3 minutes prior.

None has the shape like Motas at all so I'll raise these up some more to see.

They are costa rican dovii. Lots of yellow or gold color to them. They also have bits of red tinges on their fins. Nicaraguans have more of a blueish to greenish color to their fins.

Will keep updates on these how they will turn out.

Hmm...I think it was a good call having MOTA in them. My RTM below his and it does have a similar pattern, especially on the back...and face.

Not really a good comparison as the dovii is showing stress colors while your Mota is in normal.

A shop here call Forest Lake Pets. They have the "reds" in a 125g while the other doviis in another 125g.

Moving this weekend so will give the owner a call after I get situated and see where he ordered them from.

I wonder how long they will retain the red spots. They look basically like dovii with red spots, shape and all.

those aren't hybrids, I remember a thread on another forum about juvi dovii's with a little red I'm pretty sure someone said that some juvi's have a little red but it goes away with age

That's too bad that it goes away.
