Dr. Foster and Smith = Lies

once again the problem isn't the money, its the fact they are blatantly lyng on there website about what they have.

I talked to them yesterday morning as I thought I was getting my light finally (I need to know when it is shipped so it doesn't get stolen at my apartment). She went and talked to a supervisor and told me they received in some lights, but not enough to cover the backorder, including mine.

Yet, still, there websites says they have the lights



They KNOW they don't have any in stock to sell. They KNOW they are on back order as they cannot even cover what they have already sold. So they just lie lie lie

they can still sell stuff that is backordered. It is not a lie they just have to get more in stock. If you want your light that bad call and cancel your order and get it from somewhere else.

But if I read it right they dont say they are on back order. It lists them for sale. That would piss me off.

Ok sorry for the quick double post. I just got off the phone with Dr fosters. They are next day airing me the package and sending me a gift card and 10% off my next purchase! Earlier statement remitted

That is why i order everything from them. They are very good and i have never had a problem.

Sorry for all the stress you are receiving from them. You should just ask them to cancel and never purchase from them again!!

well I am canceling my order whenever I get home.


I talked to them yesterday and they told me they should be in April.

Got an e-mail today that they won't be receiving the lights in from the manufacturers until MAY 15. Which knowing them, it probably means May 15, 2010...

at least it is listed on the website now

oh well.. what is **** is the fact I would have never spent on the money on the glass top if I wasn't going to get the light too. oh well... no plants for a while if ever. may go in a whole different direction

Sucks man, I am sorry. Maybe they saw your thread though and decided to list it on there site.

This happens. Either purposely or because they for some reason have to manually put that it's out of stock. But I could believe it's purposeful. In the end it's about making money. And it's easier to sell stuff that's in stock then stuff that you list up front is on back order. Just the name of business.

To the OP sorry to hear about the unhappy experiance. Really sucks.

My friend has been getting catalogs from www.petsolutions.com . Never ordered from them but they seem to have great prices. Even better than Drsfostersmith sometimes. For what it's worth. Hope you still get the light you wanted at some point. I guess the lesson is to call up front and have them be sure it's in stock no matter what company you're dealing with.
