i thought i was cool enough for discus. i was wrong. now they are all doing terrible and dying, can anyone help me?

Are they young and wild caught?

keeping discus isn't about cool.
It's about maintaining immaculate water quality, and the proper water parameters they came from, whether wild or captive bred .

the water is tested daily. water changes frequently. temp was 82, its now 86 in the quarantine tank. i added salt and pimafix. i had the small one for 6 months. he came with 3 others the same size that died. he has pop eye now. the next biggest 2 i got 4 weeks ago. one if them has cotton fungus on its fin. the blue one i got 2 weeks ago, has slime coat issues. the big orange ones i got last week. one died this morning, the other has big faded spots on its fins. i tried melafix, now im on day 1 of pimafix. all my other fish are fine.

ph 7.4 to 7.6
temp 82 to 86
salt added in quarantine tank 1 tablespoon per 10 gallons
melafix for 6 days
pimafix 1 day
tank is 50 gallons
no other fish in quarantine besides small pleco
water change 50% once a week 5 gallons a day
tap water
no idea if wild or captive

Did the Discus start to die after adding the new Discus? If so it's possible the new fish was infected. How long did you quarantine the new Discus?
yes it all started when i added new discus. i try to quarantine for at least a week, but that is probably not enough. the discus at the store i bought them from are still ok. will this happen if they are stressed out from other fish? i have a giant gourami that was interested in them, but not really attacking them.

Definitely will .
I suggest longer quarantine time with Discus.
