EBJD coloring

It's only around 3in. I had put stuff in there for him to hide before, but he never uses it. Could the light be drawing out his color?

I have just standard florescent lights on mine and he is very deep blue. Occasionally will have some yellow in him. I would also suggest changing to a darker color substrate. From my research lighter substrates will wash out the color. If I am wrong on this someone please correct me. What do you feed? I feed mine a varied diet of blood worms mysis shrimp and hikari sinking carnivore pellets. I just posted a pic earlier today in the same forum if you would like to take a look. Hope he gets the color you are looking for. I say he as most EBJD's are males from what I have read.

Hikari gold is good food. If you want to mix things up try mysis shrimp and blood worms. Mine seems to really like those.
