Get a female regular JD that is smaller than the two EBs. Put her in and see what happens. She must be smaller than the EBs.

How big are your EBs?

eb are about two inch and ones about one inch i know they are not ready to breed but i was just planning for future. oh okay so you reccomend i keep the female jd alright.

Jexnell sent me his awesome male EBJD. I'm going to attempt to spawn him with one of my females that has spawned the Platinum/Gold/EBJD batches.

He's found a girlfriend. She just spawned a few weeks ago, so I'm not quite sure if she is ready yet.

They look great. I have a JD myself he's aggressive so I haven't tried adding a female but yours look amazing!

His tail got beat up by a gold female that was almost his size. He's a looker but not much of a brute.

Wow! This was the best read on EBJD's that I have ever seen. I had a male EBJD back in the day that I tried with two females who dropped eggs for him multiple times. He acted like he was fertilizing the eggs but I believe he was sterile. Thank you for the incredible photos and your explanations of your multiple crosses in creating these beautiful fish. WELL DONE!

Spawn #7 update:

This was the BbGg x BbGg cross. In other words: Jack (EB) and a Gold (that carried the Blue gene Bbgg) paired up to create the BbGg (normal looking that carry both Blue and Gold genes).

Thus a brother and sister spawn :
BbGg x BbGg yielded:
437 Normal phenotype (these could have many genetic varieties)
142 Golds (Bbgg)
141 Blues that carry the gold gene (bbGg)
55 Platinums (bbgg)

I saved the Blues and Platinums.
