This is interesting. Youngor Jalla was cleared to return to work as a nursing assistant. She got Duncan a blanket, and rode in the ambulance with him. In another article it stated that she took his blood pressure. How much contact can you have and still get cleared?

Hello; I read the link you posted. There is a blood test. It is not stated that such a test was performed. So much is unclear about the way different authorities are making decisions. Based on news reports, which may be incomplete, it sometimes seems they are working from very different play books with regard to protocols. I hate to think this, but is seems they may be making it up as they go.

Here is a link about a blood test.

Hello; I think there is some degree of luck with regard to being infected during contact. A person may get ebola contaminated fluids on them and not have the virus find an entry into the body. They get the virus washed off or it is killed before it finds an opening.

With Less luck the contaminated fluids hit a cut or into the eyes, nose or mouth. This is where an individual can make a difference and reduce the need for luck. I watched a demonstration on CNN today of a doctor donning and removing protective gear according to CDC protocols. He smeared chocolate sauce on the protective gear. He managed to get the chocolate on his skin in two places.

But this "stepdaughter" had direct contact with Duncan when he was sick and rode in the ambulance with him. They quarantined the homeless guy who got a ride in the ambulance after Duncan was transported, but cleared the "stepdaughter". I was glad to read that she might do her own self imposed quarantine.

Ebola Preparation ‘Will bankrupt my hospital!’ Director Reacts to CDC Prep Call

So why hasn't Obama and the CDC stopped flights coming out of western countries in Africa where the Ebola epidemic is raging??? Other countries have. It's simply insane. They were stupid and naive not to do it months ago. Now they are doubling down on their stupidity and risking American lives. The CDC director needs to be fired.

I'm just wandering when people are going to take this serious(Ebola)?

I'm with you. I wish they would take it more seriously. Let's hope it's not mutated to being an airborne virus. It seems easy to get as it is. Good luck to all the health care workers. Brave people.

Hello; useful information is slowly getting out. The ebola incubation period is up to 21 days, but the CDC head said that most infected people start to show symptoms by eight to ten days. So, be extra worried for 10 days or so and a bit less worried for weeks after possible exposure.

It also turns out there is not a national authority here in the USA. The CDC can advise and offer help, but each state has say so as to how things are run within it's borders. So each state can have it's own set of protocols and regulations for protective gear.

Nine of the Doctors Without Borders dead of ebola with seven more infected. Such courage. The infected nurse in France is reported to be doing as much of her own care as she can to help reduce the exposure to her friends and co-workers.
