Eggs collected from the Congo spotted pufffer

I bought a small package from someone who already had multiple set up. I then mixed it with oatmeal and put in a small plastic container.
My only worry is that I didn’t know that I should be mixing the oatmeal gently but I mixed it by hand by squeezing the oatmeal with the starter kit. I am not sure if killed the starter worms by squeezing them.

I always just add culture on top of the oatmeal. I add oatmeal sprinkle yeast on top and add culture last. I actually had micro worms for three years from 2 different cultures. I use a magnifying glass to check culture. You should notice shivering movement from the micro worms if they are alive.

Just saw with magnifying glass and there are things moving. So it means they are alive. Do you happen to know a good guide either in the web or YouTube on how to maintain the micro worm culture ?

It’s best to have several to go sauce containers or even pint size containers for cultures. Some use bread, oatmeal or mashed potato mix. A culture is ready for harvest when the sides of the container are covered in worms. Food needs to be moist but not soup so that the worms can poke out of the surface to breath.
