I think they must’ve laid eggs, but I might have missed it. The very dark female is guarding something on a big flat rock. The male is not close to the rock, but is chasing the others around. Ive have some other cichlids lay eggs. There are no eggs. I do check on the tank daily. I’m hoping she is guarding some little wrigglers in that area. What’s anyone think? An odd post I realize.

I got a rock full of eggs, and a mom fanning like crazy. Dad isn’t real interested in participating much. We will see how it goes. Thanks for your insight. Boy, that female gets some intense , dark colors.
Along with the intense colors will be attitude. My female EBA almost killed the Male before I removed him.
The parents are trading off protecting a pit in the gravel and rocks behind an Amazon Sword. Just saw a couple little punks. Of course, I’m out of town for Easter weekend. Nice to talk to folks who get a kick out of this stuff.
Do water changes as normal, just take care in the area the fry are. I do anyways and don't have issues with losing fry.
They dug a pit. With my cheaters, I can see a few tiny tadpole-look-alikes. in a day a two, I hope to see a swarm. Impressed by the parents trading places guarding the young punks throughout the day
Ive got a swarm of babies. I was gone for the weekend. My daughter sent me videos. The parents move from them from place to place. Pretty cool. Finally. Thanks for the tips.
