Electric eel - should i buy????

I'd get a fire eel. They get just as big and are more colorful and pretty!! I first want an electrical eel but I'll saw how pretty this fire eels are. My fire eel is currently around 2'' and he the most peacufull eel I ever had!
 
Don't get it, Bruce. It is a dangerous fish to have.

Enjoy the monsters you have in your pond.

fire eels don't get over 6 feet..:)

yeah but they are nicer and can live with other fish. Plus they won't hurt us.
 
If you *really* want it and have the means to house it appropriately then I don't see why you shouldn't bring it home. It would definitely be a very cool and unique addition to your collection.

If you don't plan to go larger than a 6x2x2 eventually then there's really no point in even considering it imo. Keeping a fish for its lifetime is what it's all about for me. Buying and returning fish is stressful to fish and a waste of money.

First of all, this is in the wrong thread. An electric eel isnt an eel and they are knifefish

and

they can kill you!!!
