Lol, thanks guys. I am hoping that they'd be awesome. Some of them are already growing quite large, way faster than the rest of the batch. Hopefully those will turn out to be great looking males.
ErnieG - If you find out how I can send some from Australia to Maryland legally then I'd send them lol. XD
Why must I live in a land so far away from everyone else. (
Thanks, haha yeah I'm really anxious to know as well. XD I can sorta see stripes now, but spranglings are not clear yet. I'm expecting some though, as the firemouth crosses I see almost all have spranglings and all that, so hopeful. But yeah, 31 days now, still a while until they really show their traits.
Is it normal for month old cichlid fries to have red bodies/bellies? My fries are very red, just wondering if that's typical, or if the Ellioti's redness is showing.
baxtor - Mhm, though isn't that later on, when they've matured a bit more? I don't think it shows when they're still small, does it?
ice blue - Day 31, they've grown quite a bit. Though they don't look that different yet, and my photography skills suck, so no pics. XD Many of them are starting to develop some black and iridescence on their gill plates, which is cool. Hopefully that'll continue to develop into full Ellioti sprangles.
