Emergency! How to test for chlorine!

Found it. Ordered a 32 oz bottle for 18.00. OMG, Prime can take a hike.

http://www.jumbokoi.com/Crystal-Clear/Crystal-Clear-Vanish-p-382.html

50 ml treats 1000 gallons. So 5 ml treats 100 gallons. 5ml of Prime only treats 50 gallons. And it costs twice as much. I'm no math wiz, but I think that means my dollar stretches 4x farther with Vanish. Is that right?

Knifegil hate to bust your bubble but its only a deal if you get the dry form the liquide is more then prime.

32 oz. bottle treats 6,400 gallons.
You would need 640ml of prime so one 500ml 11.99 and one 250ml 7.49 so 19.48 and you are now treating 7500 gallons for.

Or look at it like this
32oz - 946ml

1litter of prime is 10,000 gallons of water.

Now look at the math for the dry

6.99 for 8 oz of dry treats 48,000 gallons it would take 4800ml of prime or roughly 1.2 gallons which is close to 70.00.

So you paid 18 and get 6400 gallons where 14.00 would get you two 8oz dry and give you 96,000 gallons or 19 dollars would have given you 2lbs and 192,000 gallons

Edit
6400 gallons for 18.00 is 0.28 cents a gallon or abouts
7500 gallons for 19.48 is 0.25 cents a gallon or abouts

I don't get it. Can you say it with fewer numbers? If Vanish costs half the price of Prime and treats twice the water, how can it be losing?

Liquid form is half as powerful as prime 32 = 946ml

Prime treats 10 gallons for each 1ml so 946ml of prime would treat 9,460 Gallons but you can only get prime in 50,100,250,500,1000,2000,and 4000ml amounts.

Now the dry form in 8 ounces does 48,000 gallons or the same amount as 1.2 gallons of prime or 7.5 32ounce bottles of the liquid 240 ounce.

put simply it would take 7 and half of those 32once liquid bottles to treat the same amount as the 8 once dry. The 8oz dry cost less then one 32 once liquid.

bingo you guys are talking about the dry. Check your facts liquid not as good

BTW thats the dry made into liquid form.

plan and simple fact is that the bottle says 32 ounce and treats 6400 gallons so simply follow the math to see.

Look at this

*It is important to note that Vanish Dechlorinator Dry only removes chlorine. Vanish Dechlorinator Liquid removes chlorine, chloramine, ammonia, heavy metals and adds a slime coat protectant.

From that same site so basically this wont help any of us that have chloramine.
