what kind of guppies? colored guppies or the regular mosquito fish guppies? back in asia we actually use mosquito guppies not the fancy guppies (colorful ones). what about flat heads? :screwy: i would like to do that too... my datnoids eat a bunch of feeders while they are still breading in their mouth:naughty: it's getting expensive to feed these dats. $5 a week. they eat like 36 feeders in one shot. not including market shrimps... maybe i need to get a tank in my garage and start that guppy thing going.:)

sounds like a great idea to me

Are Molly's live breaders?

Guppies take too long to grow. A lot of small fry, but they don't grow fast enough for my pbass.

How long for a group of convit eggs to grow into something worth feeding a 5" pbass?

Are Molly's live breaders?

Yes they are live bearers. I have a batch going right now. My first to give birth had 16 the first day. The second day she had 58 live babies, five eggs, and two embryos. Amazingly the eggs and embryos finished developing into complete baby fish. Days later, the mother gave birth to one more baby.

I have had two more mollys give birth. One had 11 live babies and the rest were still born. The other had a bunch while I was out of town and they are still in the birthing tank.

Another pregnant molly died after failing to give birth. The babies in her were about three times the size of normal molly fry.

All of my babies live on crushed flake food and fresh hatched brine shrimp.
