CrazyIrishman,
Let's use Aquanero's comparison...
if you had a fish of the same species from different locations, how are they hybrid? That's what the OP was questioning. He was wondering if the locations would make them Hybrids.
sorry didn't see that little blue on the side of the female but nether the less that is a convict not an HRP and as far as your comment about reading a book sorry but I'm better than that and yes I didn't see the video at first because it didn't come up and the pic doesn't show any coloration on the convict there for I asumed it was a male sorry. And the caption says LFS
I dont see any Con in her. I have seen Cons with bluish fins, but not powder blue on body and all over. And the blue on Cons usually disapears as they get older. This fish is 2 years old and always looked like this. She is only about 3.5" and slender. Most female Cons get bigger and taller. Totally different body types. Also no color on her belly. Her stripes are also darker because she is in breeding/defensive mode.
It has been suggested that possibly she is a Sequoia. But they are also undescribed and pretty rare to show up at a LFS. The Owner know the breeder and say they are simply "HRP".
As a dog enthusiest with 5 purebreds of my own...a YL and a CL are still labs but not able to be registered with the AKC. Im going off of memory from an article a read a long time ago but that dosn't even matter anyway.
OP: Your fish look great and Crazyirishman just needs to google image HRP's. I would definately feel comfortable buying the fry as HRP's no problem. And I think it's safe to say that general consensis is the same!
For what's it's worth that female does not look like a "Honduran Red Point" to me, so I would not sell any fry as such.
Both of mine are the Rio Danli strain.
Here is my female
Male
Your male and my male look quite similar. The females on the other hand...not so much. The Rio Danli strain seem to lose most of their stripes after 1.5", except right when breeding.
