Yeah the $2/gal sale was at AA (and only for that one week I think). But yeah, your limited in size there. I would have happily went 210, or 220 vs my 240, but if your wanting 300+ thats a different story. There is a pretty big price jump between 220 and 265 too, like double I thought. In my house it was very difficult to deal with the 8 foot tank (both moving it and also finding a wall large enough to put it lol) I'd prefer a 6 or 7 foot tank thats taller & deeper as opposed to longer, but thats just me.

On a side note, the normal price at jacks for a 220G is more expensive than GC but if you want it drilled with twin overflows the price is actually the same/cheaper last I worked the numbers out. Seems like GC charges a lot more for the overflows... but they are built well... my overflows are 1/2" glass and the base is doubled up around the overflows (1"). I wish they would have put them all the way to the corners though, instead there is like a 6" gap of wasted space and less room in the 'middle' now. Would use less materials too since the overflow would not need a side wall since it would be up against the side. I was much to hasty when I ordered, I had just decided to get a big tank and noticed that in a week they would be in Columbus and that was it for the years schedule. Well apparently they are in Columbus like once a month nearly, they just dont put it in the schedule in advance.

i won't need the overflows i think with something this big ill jsut run a couple of FX5s on it if i get it and that should do

i was looking at the 265 that jacks aquarium carries and its like 1300 for just the tank my deal with that is if i spend 1300 to get less then 300gal then y not spend a lil more and get 3-500 gal (we are looking into making an addintion onto the house to acomadate the fish and this large of a tank

What do you mean floating bottom?

if u look at the bottom of a tank or should i say feel the bottom of one there is a lip the actual bottom of the tank does not touch the stand only the edges around the frame i was told this was due to a streanght issue

got my 125 wide from them they were nice to me and i think there tanks are over built which i like. what i noticed most people complain about is silicon ssplatered here and there mine had about 4 spots took 5 min to get off.

My parents are going to purchase there 150 long 60x24x25 in a few months. What is the difference between the sapphire glass and the regular glass, they are going with clear seals and buying the tops too from them. There stands look to be priced fairly resonable and was wondering what their build quality is overall on tanks and stands too. Sorry to whore. Thanks guys and gals.

We got our 180 from there. It was a great deal and we paid $80 for them to deliver it about 30 minutes from us. then we just picked it up from there. No problems here and well worth the cost. Their tanks seem to be built pretty solid. We are looking at getting a bigger tank soon from there...I am hoping it will be before their prices go up again because eventually it wont be worth it. That is my only complaint.

I've heard good things and bad things about them.

I was looking for a 240gal tank and checked their prices out and also got a qoute for a local aquarium builder here on the west coast. The price for GC was only about $30-$40 cheaper, so shipping it would have been more expensive than the local guy. The local guy also had a 2 year warranty on his tanks (I even asked if it applied with a home made stand which he said yes), so it would have been alot longer than GC 90day warranty. The warranty you might want to factor into the equation.

In the end I didn't buy a tank from either place, I ended up gettting a used 240gal cheaper than both with a stand, canopy, and cheap lights.

If you guys in Cali want a glass aquarium builder that is about the same price as GC PM me and I'll give you the info.
