why would you guys try to offend them more??? that seems childish to me!

What I said was merely a joke... not really meant to offend. Just seems like an innocent thing to me but would seem really bad to some people I guess.

Sorry, was in bad taste I guess.

As a child of Buddist Parents, I believe to respect all religions. If one person finds it religiously offense, then I wouldn't do it. But seriously...a lot of you are saying it's not a big deal and screw their belief, but again, if you found your religious symbol at the bottom of someone's fish tank and/or hung improperly, wouldn't you take offense or at least be uncomfortable and say something in your religions defense?

My parents sent me to a private school (Christian) because it was safer. So do I believe in God and Jesus...yes. But do I believe that Christianity is correct in their beliefs...no. Christians are the most closed-minded and prejuiced people I can say I've ever met. Don't get me wrong. I have a lot of Christian friends, but how they view some other people's lives is not very respectful.

Personaly, I would be offended that offense was taken by the person that is offended.
...this sounds like a Bushism...I like it. :D

First off I do agree with John that Buddhism is VERY different for Catholicism.

Buddhism is non-theistic. The commonly accepted definition of the term "God" describes a being that not only rules, but actually created the universe. These concepts are disputed by Buddhists. In Buddhism, the supreme origin and creator of the universe is not a god, but rather causes and conditions obscured by time.

To the main topic...I don't think I would change anything in my tank if it offended someone. It is my tank and if someone has an issue with it they can look away. This is what kills me, we are a country that prides itself on freedom but we are the people taking our freedoms away.

...when was the last time you could say Merry Christmas in public and not get a new ******* torn?!?!?!?

ummmmm please dont derail the thread...

THIS IS NOT ABOUT RELIGION ITSELF.

Christians are the most closed-minded and prejuiced people I can say I've ever met. Don't get me wrong. I have a lot of Christian friends, but how they view some other people's lives is not very respectful.

Lets stick to religion in relation to fish keeping please...

I'm glad you found humor in that.......Bushism.......LOL

What I was realy trying to say in my sacrastic manner is "Feel free to express your thoughts but you will be hearing mine shortly after"
It would be childish to offend them more but it sure would be funny.

I can honestly say I would not be offended in the least. Being a mormon, I am used to my religion getting trashed constantly, so I get over it. If I can, then the rest can. And about the whol friends being offended, I don't make friends with people who easily get offended or are hung up on the politically correct thing. So in the words of one of the other posters, Grow a pair!!!!:headbang2
